Many years ago, teacher’s profession was very heightened, respected and appreciable. Then, pupils presented teacher’s job as their dream profession already in their primary classes. However, times have changed and the attitude to pedagogical profession has changed together with years. Now, students do not dream of coming back to school and working together with children anymore. All youth dream of being lawyers or managers. Why did it happen? This essay examines firstly reasons, why students do not want to be teachers anymore, tries to answer the question why a pedagogical job is so special, when concentrates on advantages of being a teacher, pays attention to why it is worth being a teacher and eventually tries to prove that not every person can work as a teacher. A person has to have a calling to teacher‘s profession.
